Retaining walls need to have a proper anchoring and drainage system. The posts must be set four foot on center for wood and 5′ to 6′ on center for solider piles (steel I beams) in concrete and deep enough to hold up to years of fierce winters. If you don’t like the standard look of a retaining walls we can dress it up with shingles. Or we can put the wall boards on the outside of the wall.
Steel posts with 3″ x12″ pressure treated fir wall boards and a 2″ x 6″ con-heart redwood cap. The wall has 1′ thick by 2′ high of 3/4″ drain rock and filter fabric behind it.
